Fully permeable pavement by Dream Pave provides trees more water, without the high maintenance costs and risks of loose gravel in public areas. Our porous surface achieves an industry-leading flow rate of 103 L/m2/min. Our system provides an attractive, low-maintenance and durable tree surround that is fully porous and eliminates the traditional issues created by loose stones or mulch.
Permeable Tree Surrounds ensure a safe, slip-resistant application while maximizing the supply of water and oxygen to maintain a healthy tree. Our solution is again durable and low-maintenance, easily withstanding heavy foot traffic and vehicular loads.
Together, this offers your perfect solution for commercial, institutional and public spaces. Our installs consist of an open base layer of compacted stone, allowing maximum exchange of water, oxygen to feed the roots.
Our permeable surface layer is installed at a depth of 30-45 mm, to provide a strong, stable, fully porous yet durable surface.
To replace your existing tree surrounds, the only base preparation typically required is to clear enough existing aggregate to accommodate a 6″ permeable base, and a 40mm layer of StoneSet Permeable pavement. The base layer should then be lightly compacted to create a smooth surface.
Our specification reflects standard best practices for permeable surfacing.

This all relates to ongoing maintenance cost. High foot traffic and maintenance equipment spreads debris and creates slip hazards. Our fully permeable system ensures water supply and eliminates the need for loose materials.
