Project Details

This lengthy Dream Pave driveway in Port Carling, Muskoka, was designed to address a serious stormwater runoff issue at a waterfront cottage. Before the installation, rainwater was flowing down the driveway toward the cottage, creating concerns around drainage, erosion, and potential water damage.

StoneSet X Dream Pave’s highly porous resin-bound aggregate system provided an effective permeable solution. Rather than allowing rainwater to travel across the surface as runoff, the driveway enables water to infiltrate through the aggregate and return naturally to the ground. This helps reduce surface water movement while supporting better drainage around the property.

The natural stone finish complements Muskoka’s rugged Canadian Shield landscape, while the durable, low-maintenance surface is well suited to the region’s demanding freeze-thaw conditions. At 330 feet in length, the completed driveway offers a practical combination of stormwater management, long-term performance, and understated cottage-lot appeal.
